Picked up some Honda spares recently, and they came with an FZR250 attached.

I don't really have any interest in FZR's, but I know there are a few people with them on this forum.

The bike is incomplete, and would probably be best for spare parts. Engine status and condition are unknown - appears to be largely complete, however is missing the stator and assoc. engine cover, and starter.

Also includes carbs (~85-90% complete), wiring loom, coils, CDI, headlights, fuel tank, switchblocks, instrument cluster (disassembled), a couple rough fairing pieces and some other miscellaneous parts.

Would prefer to sell the lot, however may strip off individual or groups of parts. Anything leftover goes to the metal recyclers. Feel free to make an offer :D.

Hmm... I might be interested in a few bits if you would part a few. Specifically CDI/carbies/carb rubbers (all of them)...

I'm hoping they're interchangeable with the phaser so detailed photos appreciated :)

Pics attached. Carby boots are currently intact, but there are signs of perishing / cracking.

Actually, I'm not certain that those are FZR carbs. Came with the bike, but from what I'm not sure. :idk:

They don't look like FZR carbies to me... interesting.

I assume there are no air box boots? Sorry didn't ask about those.

Nah, no air box boots I'm afraid.
No bites for the whole bike, so I think I'll strip it down shortly, including engine components for any of those interested.

Hmm. Keep me in the loop with the strip down. I still have the phaser and it needs a tiny bit more love but I have to pull it apart again to have a look on exactly what it needs. I fear the stator is the main thing that could use a replacement but you don't have that haha.

After a bit of research, the carbs appear to be a Keihin PD46A model that suited a 1977/78 CB550K as far as I can tell. So definitely no good to FZR folk.

The engine is almost completely stripped down. Parts that are rooted are crank (scoring) broken rod, stator flywheel, and cylinder head (chipped sleeve, so only good of someone wanted to re-sleeve or over-bore, etc). Most other parts appear in reasonable / useable condition, including head, cams, crank cases / sump, flywheel, clutch basket / hub, side cases, oil / water pump, etc.

Frame, swingarm, forks and triples will be going to the metal recyclers tomorrow with a load of scrap, so if anyone wants them for free let me know tonight.

Pretty much, once I make back what it owes me, the remaining parts will be giveaways or scrapped.

Sold a few bits and pieces, and now am getting ready to do a bit of a cleanout. Will be holding on to a few things for the moment, but the first round of free giveaways for anyone interested include: fuel tank and cover; left and right switch gear; throttle cable; clutch cable and bracket; front seat; shock and linkage; front brake caliper and m/c; rear brake caliper and m/c; stock rear sets; radiator overflow reservoir; and loom. Local pickup, and would prefer for someone to take the lot. :thumb_ups:

If you're happy to post to Melb I'd take the switch gear (both) & cables (both)...

Radiator, thermostat and housing, some rad pipes, and fork internals (damper rod and springs) also to go.

I'd prefer local pickup at this stage Joker - getting time to organise postage during work hours can be a bit hit and miss at present.

    :fuckyou:
Well, it's the nice way of saying:
    a) I'd rather be doing other things after work hours; or
    b) I want to expend the minimum amount of time and effort for giveaways; or
    c) A combination of both of the above.

Posting parts that are being bought is another matter though.

Alrighty, have made my money back, so time for the remaining parts to go, whether it be free local pickup (SEQ) or metal recyclers. Most of what is pictured is available, though there may be a couple of items gone.
