I was doing very well and then had a freak mechanical failure DNF me.
1st, 2nd and 1st in class before the final race. Lech had 2nd, 1st and 2nd.
Great start in the final, ahead of Lech, going into turn 2 the front tyre valve failed
and the tyre went flat straight away so I pulled out.
The tyre guy said that in 40 years that was only the 2nd time he had seen that.
Still had a great weekend and very happy with the TZR250 - first time on the bike and under 2 minutes lap.

    Hi

What a disappointing way to finish.

But it sounds like you had a great time despite the tyre valve.

    How offten do you race?

Great to be at such a big well run race meeting.
Normally about 6 road races in a year but the last few years I only managed a few.
2 of this years PCRA race meetings at Eastern Creek have been cancelled due to all the rain delaying the new track works.
I will have to dust off the old Yamaha IT dirt bikes and do some Classic Dirt Track.

I can see why they were so far behind with the track after the summer we have had. Not a good weather for bikes either but I managed to get out when ever I could. what do you like best the road or dirt bikes?

I have only ridden dirt bikes until about a year ago I always said I would never ride on the road but it takes to long to recover when I do something wrong so I finally got a road bike.

    Road Racing is the best.
But dirt can be fun and it is easier and cheaper.
