Hi. As I posted in new members, I'm the owner of a zongshen zs250gs lol I don't even know what it is, but I'm in love as it is my first motorcycle. Please I need ur help seriously and if u can't help me I'm gonna sell it or even give it away as it is so much rare. It is missing a few parts including dash, rear brake valve(i don't know if I'm saying it right) battery(not important) rear view mirrors, coil, so in 2 or 3 words few parts, but I don't know very much of motorcycles since this is my very first. The help that I need and the question is : What parts are interchangeable from this bike with another, like Honda cbr or Suzuki gsx or katana, or Kawasaki etc besides the motor of course, like coil acceleration handle, brakes etc. Everything possible, and the other q's where the hell I found parts for this bike lollll jajajajaja (im desperate to get it start, since she doesn't)thanks.....
Wow..... Thanks for the help from both of you, there still so much parts that aren't in those 2 pages but it is a lot of help to me. Another q's....... my67xr; can I use a coil or some other part from another street motorcycle that will fit this? Like "ignition or start switch" starter motor, brake handle etc? Is there like some universal parts in the game? Sorry for my lack of knowledge but I'm trying very hard loll.
Bits from most other bikes can be made to fit, but needs knowledge and workshop facilities to do so. Better when learning to stick with correct parts. Keep looking through Aliexpress and if you can find part numbers for the lost bits and google those numbers. Good luck with the rebuild and the learning process.
zongshen is a chinese engine manufacturer. ali express or zongshen direct are your best bet.similar bike to yours was sold as a maxim.
Been working a little on bike, still doesnt fire up, but i hace faith it Will soon. Now i'm thinking of a gauge cluster that will fit since oem is missing and i cant find it anywhere. I was looking at yamahas and kawasakis cluster gauges but i don't know about mounting holes. Anyway ill post any progress, thanks people.
miguel, in australia the bike was branded maxim and has an air cooled zongshen motor.zongshen engines are in megelli and crossfire bikes. the megellis had digital speedo,s but the maxim has an analogue speedo.look up zongshen on the computer and i am certain there will be a similar bike. i bought a maxim years ago and found it slow, clunky gearbox but brakes were good.it is still in my shed complete and will stay that way.
