I replaced the globes in my zxr the other day thinking they were h4 globes but the tabs don't match up so I had to cut them off and dodgy them up a little bit. Does anyone know what globes they use? The ones that were in there were 35w and the replacement ones are 55w. Do the tab patterns change depending on wattage?

Cheers. That would explain it. I'll have a hunt around and see what I can find.

Looks like they are H4R globes. Will try getting some photos tomorrow.

The H4R's are very expensive (near on £20 UK).
If you use standard H4 then they can burn out the switch on the handlebar (due to increased current draw) so it is generally cheaper to fit a relay to each and then you can use standard H4's with the tab bent back. Further replacement is then cheap as chips.

Have a search on the forum.

Bumping this thread because I just replaced the globes in my ZXR with some H4 LED's and had to cut the lower tangs off and make some other modifications. I expected this.

What I pulled out was a surprise. Everywhere I have read says that the ZXR globes are H4R, 35W/60W. My Malaysian C model had H6 35W/60W globes, they're sitting here on my desk clearly marked.
