    @hazzard
    Do you have a loose (removed) triple clamp? I likely only require the lower for experimentation

    Hey I know it's a few years late but any chance you'd have a zxr250 a model engine? Or know where I could look for one? Mines lost compression and the factory kawa mechanics in town won't start a rebuild without a parts engine at least

    Why the hell do they need a whole engine for parts just to do a refresh ?

    Rings, seals, gaskets and wateva are all available ... if theres something major broke then u worry about searching for replacements

    Find a new mechanic ... or better still, do it yourself

    .... and who did the compression test? ... they did Im guessing

    'old school bikes' , 'new age mechanics' shouldnt be used in the same sentence :D

    The mechanics say they can't source parts for a "grey import" whatever that means and I don't have enough room to rip apart an engine. Not that I would know what I'm doing if I did but my zxr250a is the most fun bike I've ever owned and I've spent around the 5 grand mark restoring it just to have the motor play up a month later. Apparently the Kawasaki store in Melbourne doesn't store parts this old or so I'm told

    Maelstrom, mate if you know someone in Brisbane that knows the bike I'd love the chance to get it in there, I've also got a set of litetek Carb seals waiting to go in as soon as its running again, I've heard nothing but good stuff about them.

    Hey, do you have a set of rooted carbs you wouldn't mind parting out?
    Ive need the vacuum T pieces between the carbs as one has split in it on mine.

    Thanks
