Hi guys, i am starting my rebuild and parts over here in the UK are basically non existent...so i was wondering if anyone has either of the following as they are now NLA and i cant seem to find any old stock over here.

Quality - I'm not looking for mint, as long as they are functional is fine, but nothing too beaten up please.

14073-1383 airbox ram-air rubber (goes from the fairings to the airbox)
    55020-1379 swingarm rubber protector

    Many thanks, John

I think banner is after the later model version. I have not done that one yet. You can probably get one off the Japanese auction sites @banner001

Hi Grey and Blair, yes it's for the "other model", I'll have to see how bad mine is once I remove the swing arm.

If it's not in too bad condition I might send it over to you Blair so you can make a model (if you wish), it's just that I know these 2 rubber parts are NLA and I want to make the bike mint, and it would be annoying to have to disassemble the swing arm in a year or so just to replace the rubber chain guard for a new one, might as well do it all now.

Thanks for the offer John, but I already have a good one to use as a sample. I think that version just clips on, so you do not have to remove the swingarm to replace it. Chain sliders cost us a lot for the tooling and this is just a small family business, so we can only afford to add new versions slowly. Hope to get it done this year. In fact I would like to do a lot more parts for the Kawasakis as it seems the owners are more interested in restoring and looking after them than the other brands. Just had a lot of trouble finding one here. There are some nice threads on ZXR's on the forum. look forward to seeing yours.
    Cheers

Yeah the swingarm does need to be removed to replace the chainslider . Ended up using sikaflex urethane on mine because i couldn't one in usable condition , ghetto yes but would rather uglyness than the chain grinding the swingarm

I've not seen a complete ZXR250 in the flesh, is the airbox capable of being pressurised at speed, or are the tubes only for flow?

I do know that Kawasaki is one of the manufacturers to perfect ram air in other models but don't know if it went that far back on the 250

I would say it more acts like a nice fresh air duct rather than ram air . The ducting on fairing also splits off into two paths with one going to the airbox and the other that blows directly infont of the oil sump fins. cbrs on the other hand just suck hot air from under the fuel tank .

Not if you still have the original rubber sheet that goes over the top of the rad/cylinder head. This stops the hot air from coming up under the tank and brings in cool air from under the top fairing. Most get thrown away because they make it harder to get at the plugs.
