    Hi All,

I've searched on these forums & googled until my eyes bled.... still can't find the info i'm looking for....

My bike is an 89 ZXR250A.

The fork preload adjustment doesn't seem to have a reference like the lines on the ZXR250C style forks.
Can someone clarify the adjustment process for the 'A' style forks?
I.e How many turns for factory settings, which way from that point to stiffen them up?

This is my adjuster type -

    This is the 250c style

So I pulled one of these apart the other day. There is a screw inside the fork that can be adjusted up & down. Ensure there is 12mm thread visible.

The C fork is basically identical besides that end piece. I start at 8 clicks anticlockwise out from hard clockwise & adjust clockwise until it works for me. I've got mine set to 5 clicks out from hard clockwise.

I think 6 clicks out is for 65kg rider.

    Thanks for that Cbuzz!

I'm 80kg & have them 2 clicks off max now, they're still pretty soft.

I'll probably rebuild them over winter & have a play with a spacer & oil weight.

Whats the rear suspension set at? 80kgs should be #4, any higher(stiffer) will make the front feel softer.
