    Hi,

Unfortunately my zxr250a took a very minor right side, low side and scratched up the fairings a bit. Couple of small cracks.

I'm just looking for some guidance on where to start, with repairing this.
I don't have any material at the moment, and I would like to fully restore the fairings one day anyway so I want to repair this myself.

I had a look on the forum here for a step by step but only found bits of information.

Apparently the fairings are ABS plastic, which is easy enough to repair and work with, but I'm not sure how much of the fairing I'm supossed to sand off, this black and grey plastic is flaking off the surface and there's more grey plastic underneath that, just not sure where to go.

    Cheers :) 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg 4.jpg 5.jpg

Look's like the ABS colour is originally a light grey or white, i'd sand it back to that.
Repair what you can with a soldering iron and abs
Then either make up a slurry/paste of abs and acetone and brush it on to all the scratch's, then sand it back to flatten it off once it's dried properly
Will be easy enough to flatten with a compressor, dual action air sander and some sanding disc's (120g, 180g, 320g)

You could just use a polyester body filler for the scratch's too which is what most crash shop's would use
