i need a new number 3 carb as the bit where the pilot jet goes has a little bit snapped off and i need 4 new of the needle seats so thought it would be just easier to get a whole set for parts
Upload a pic of the damage and exactly which one. I have 2 spare sets of carbs with housing damage on a carb in each. But might have a housing you can have.
Carb number 2 mate, any chance you also have 4 float needle seats i destroyed mine getting them out lol
Carb #2 from left to right? I believe I have a good one of those and I will need to look thru the parts I reckon I do have 4x seats, did you need any jets, diaphragms or needles?
yeah still screws in fine no problem , i might need 1 diaphagm, and then just the 4 seats as well cheers
Oh wow. The 4 I have are in good nick just dirty I will clean em up for you. They are $12 each new http://www.motorcyclespareswarehouse.com.au/products/khv-24l24-float-valve-needle-and-seat
Ben ..... you need to put away the big hammer and chisel Alloy and brass need to be treated with a softly softly approach Sure we have all butchered a jet or 2 but u must try and use a driver that fits the groove .... jets are pretty soft brass Theres various methods to removing something that is stuck .....brute force is a last resort on carbys. Where that alloy casing has broken off , as Murdo says , as long as the thread is ok ...but I would smooth off the edges as it looks like there are bits still about to come off. Also have a look here about those screws with the little dimple in them .... http://2fiftycc.com/index.php?threads/koken-jis-crosshead-phillips-screwdrivers.1469/ http://2fiftycc.com/index.php?threads/dimples.1068/
