Hey guys, scored a 1993 ZXR250C last week. I keen to get it running and registered.
At this point i have done nothing except try and roll start it, which is when i discovered 2nd didnt work, and was informed from here that it needs to be running to go into the other gears, thanks guys!.
At a glance, needs a right mirror, left clipon, charged battery and a full set of fairing bolts/clips.
I have already picked up the mirror, clipon and battery.
History from previous owner is, bike was given to him, him and his dad got it running, they said the starter motor was not working, and were using a screwdriver bridging the wiring to start it. Not sure if the battery was charging when they did get it running, maybe a prob there?. Dad said it did run, but was running rough. Said they picked it up in a Van (i suspect left clipon may have got bent in this adventure, no other indication that the bike has been dropped.) They said there was also some wiring that looked like it had been "redone".
The tank does not have the holes for the Vacuum cleaner pipes to go into, i do like the look of these and might keep an eye out for a 250C tank and bits. Those hoses provide cooling to the regulator yeah?
It has new tyres and new carbon looking exhaust.
Fairings look mostly ok, could do with a freshen up. If i do respray then i will need some more of those stickers to put back on. Would love to pick up some fairings with original colour scheme if available.
    Seat looks okish, no tears.
    Odo says 73,000km.

Plan..... get the manual... got the premium membership here, so access soon to manual.
Get it running first, charge battery, flush out carbys with clean fuel, flush tank with clean fuel, clean fuel tap.
any help or advice would be welcomed.
