Are you just a glutten for punishment or what????? I thought you had enough headaches with the one you have, twice as many now. Are you working on the theory that 'He who dies with the most bikes wins'?
Gumtree .... $1000 + we scored a brand new leather jacket Seller is a custom bike builder/mechanic ...... valve clearances, carbs and some other stuff supposedly done Needs a new rear tyre , new screen (as the new one he got was wrong) ,body work needs some attention, front brakes are sponge cake and Im sure chain and sprockets....usual stuff Starts and runs fine but Ill take it out today to see how it revs out in real time. Yea I think I need to up my meds . Its actually for a mate from around the corner ..... but u can guess who will be chief mechanic He saw mine awhile back and wanted one ... I said 'no you dont' And he has another friend who saw it and the ZXR recently and wants to join in the club also .... so I guess there will be another on the cards possibly. And the most bikes? ..... LOOK whos talking ! .... dont forget Ive seen into your inner sanctum
Does anyone know the significance behind the 'R2' decals? Ive read a couple of comments online that the R1 was released around the time the FZR was being imported and some importers put the R2 on to help with sales.
NAH, YOU ALL GOT IT WRONG.....EASY... HIS FIRST FIZZER WAS R1 ,,,THIS ONE IS R2.....WHEN IT BREAKS DOWN IT WILL BE RAVE TOO.lol.
The R7 is the standard. The rest are all ugly My never ending project bike, which I have dubbed an R4, is modelled after the R7. At least that is the dream. I hope to cut off the 'wings' sometime in the next few months. Then I can make a subframe to . . . etc etc Only problem is that I have my eye on a nice CNC lathe and that will consume vast quantities of loot. Thereby committing the 'R4' to, once again, be an old age home for spiders.
Hey mum I bought a jet bike ! The guy we bought this off was a bit of a boy racer and he mentioned he replaced the jets .... would larger mains be a probable cause of this?
Oh the "jet bike" Exhaust backfire off throttle when they are leaking and on throttle when there is an electrical problem, usually. cheers Blair
Hey, what's wrong with my incoherent mumbling? Backfires under throttle occur because the engine is misfiring. That leads to unburnt fuel in the exhaust which is subsequently ignited. Those misfires are usually caused by an ignition fault (plugs, caps, leads, coils, TCI). Backfires when you throttle off are from exhaust leaks that reverse direction and pull fresh oxygen into the exhaust system. cheers
