    Hey guys,

My 1991 fzr250 3ln3 wont start unless I pour a little bit of fuel down the carbs and will burn that up then stop. Wont run off the fuel tank. It doesn't have a fuel pump. Please help thanks.

Have you checked to see that fuel is flowing from the tap?
    Is your fuel filter blocked?

The fuel tap is bypassed and fuel gets to the carbs because they had a small leak one of them and its leaking a tiny bit.

might need knew fuel line if e10 has been run in it or the carbs may have internal corrosion.

fuel line is good and carbs are good inside. cleaned bowls and checked the jets and they aren't blocked, made sure the idle screw is the 3 turns out.

    How old is your fuel?
If it more than a couple of weeks, ditch it and try some fresh 95.

Are plug wires on the correct order? One coil fires 1 and 4, the other 2 and 3.

You will need to find each lead from the coil end and follow it to the spark plug/motor end

To put it another way .... 2 leads from 1 of the coils will go the the outside spark plugs and the other 2 leads from the other coil will go to the 2 middle plugs.

The other thing u can do in that area is unscrew the plug caps off the leads and cut a couple of mms off the lead and give the cap some clean new wire to connect with.
