Hey guys here is a oil you can use in most of the 4 stroke bikes out there, pretty much anything that would take a 10w40 grade oil.

    Read about it at http://www.caltex.com.au/productsandservices/pages/ProductDescription.aspx?ID=1639

Best part is you can buy it direct from Caltex in 20L drums and it works out atĀ  just $4.30 a Litre. As it is also used in diesel enginesĀ  I recommend you do oil changes just a little less K's than you normally would, probably more a precaution than a absolute necessity. Also don't put it in 2 stroke motors, the detergents in it may cause problems with the crank seals.

They also sell Havoline 2T which is a semi synthetic oil for your two stroke injection system, that would out at $5.00 litre, pretty cheap.

Just bought 20L drum of Delo 400 for $114. Going to use it in the Fizzers and also the Triumph 955i. Here's another endorsement I found in the R1 forum with the source link below it:

    Delo 400 15W 40
[IMG] I was recommended Delo 400 by a friend who can't stop raving on about it, so i thought I'd give it a go. I ride a 99 R1 with just over 55,000km's on the clock. I have had the top end rebuilt and various other mods and was (until now) using fully synthetic oils such as Motoul, Repsol and yamalube. I'd change my oil every 2500km's - 3500km's as they were going black in the sight glass after 500 - 1500km's. **yes I know its a multigrade diesel oil**

3 weeks ago I dropped my oil and replaced with Delo 400 - $40 for 5lts from caltex service station. First thing I noticed was how quiet the engine was, amazing...no yamaha tick at all..!!! The gear changes have become a dream and the bike is now running between 15 - 20 degrees cooler (we just had a heatwave - 4 days of over 43 degrees celcius) and it never got over 100, even in traffic. I'm also getting upwards of 285km's to a 17ltr tank.
I've now done 1700km ( lots of day trips etc ) and the oil in the sight glass is still clean. Its like a new bike !!!!!!!! I now have friends riding ZZR's, Speed triples, 898's and a CBR1000 that have found the same as i have and will never use anything else.

Worth a go I say. [IMG]
