Its on all the carbys including the exterior ... just some moron going stupid with the gasket goo/silastic/shite The 10 minute job now takes 4 hours picking all that crap off ...... and the o rings dont seem to have ever been changed .... the main jet ring is just crumbs They have cleaned the surfaces and painted the outside of the bowls so they look 'done' .... I wonder how much they charged for that
I love bikes , women and my mum ..... but my biggest love is BDST28 carbs ! And why was #1 cylinder and the sump filled with fuel? The float needle clip wasnt on the tab either Also the pilot screw has the washer last and it had the wrong main jet ..... jets were 97.5 ,100 ,97.5 ,100
Before it reached you Mr Grey, it would have passed through half a dozen owners. Each one inflicting their expertise on poor motorcycle. And along the way there would have been lots of "I've had it with this piece of s**t. I'm gonna sell it". Of course anyone who reads or hears this statement must immediately show their sympathy for the owner, "Yes mate, you are a genius with the spanners, it must be a lemon". Finally the bike comes to rest and see out its days as an old age home for spiders. But fortunately this one has been rescued from the 'Home for Ageing Arachnids' and will be scooting around in no time.
Well yes it better be scooting around, otherwise he has to ride a sewing machine and make a fantastic entrance on gravel again!
Sounds that crazy it might just work Jokes aside it does sound good...will this allow you to improve on previous record of 74 in a 50 zone
This one is going straight to the pool room . . . err I mean I want a pic of this one for my postcards page please Fizzer Factory
What do you guys do with all of these spare fizzers? Is there that much difference between a 3LN3, 3LN6 in terms of the way they ride etc?
No leaks anywhere so far Took her out and did 50 (reluctantly) till the wide open spaces ..... didnt open it right up but it went ok .... sadly though it stalled and struggled to start when hot .... another valve job no doubt Ill take a postcard pic when she has her skirt on
No harm in checking the valve clearances anyway. And just a thought, if you set the idle mixtures by ear when the bike was not hot then they could be set a bit rich.
