Hey, My reg/rec just blew up, any of you would have a old regulator to sell me on sydney ? OEM part is near the 200$ so i'm looking to get a spare one somewhere. I found a few on ebay but mostly chinese or a second hand from a seller i had problem with in the past. Cheers
Buy a 2nd hand FH020AA off any modern sports bike. BMW, Triumph etc all use them. I bought one for my R6 that was from a tiger 1050 sport.
I would go with @Linkin suggestion, otherwise these are effective if you don't want to do any rewiring https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/YAMAHA-FZR250-87-94-FORSETI-REGULATOR-RECTIFIER-ASSEMBLY/131918999796 Beware of the not actual FH020AA regulators being passed of as the actual regulator on ebay and elsewhere if you go that route. All of that said if you can get a genuine one from a wreckers, there will be someone on here that can guide you through the wiring simply enough - you just need the plugs to suit also, so get them at the same time
This genuine Shindengen used one is just over $60 inc post, and has only done 6500km's from new https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Yamaha-...m3f7b739bbb:g:mdcAAOSwtGlZCCP0&frcectupt=true The wiring is easy to convert over to this style regulator, i did to same conversion to my FZR250rR 3 and a half year's ago and it's still going well You will just need to buy a plug/socket kit from Jaycar for $5 https://www.jaycar.com.au/automotive-6-way-plug-socket-250-series/p/PP2068
Hey, I owe you all a lot on this forum, fast and precise help every single time ... Here I got my battery charging again Seven hills motorcycle wrecker and cash & co had the original part in stock in nsw so shout out to them as well
