    Evening all,

I’ve been searching around looking for ideas on exhausts, and before that I’d just like to unlock my standard balius exhaust.

My question is, can I just undo those 3 rivets at the tip of the exhaust and pull out a baffle and then stick in some new rivets? Or is it a little more complicated?

This is my first time doing any type of work on motorcycles so I’m new to it all. So if anyone has some input on how i can just get a bit of exhaust note that would be greatly appreciated. I’m not looking to have an obnoxiously loud bike, just want a bit of spice.

    Thanks in advance

A photo of the muffler end would help us non Balius owners :D

Arnt the stock headers and muffler on a Balius 1 complete unit?

I’ll get some photos in the morning, for now I’ve found one online and I’ve marked an x where the rivets are. There’s 3 around the side but I’ve marked only one.

Yes sadly the exhaust is all one piece so my only option is to fiddle with the standard exhaust or to pull out the welder. I’m hoping it’s a simple job to get a little bit of sound from the standard one.

I just don’t want to open up the standard exhaust and do so some irreversible damage and be left with an insanely loud exhaust. Hopefully get some advice or help from someone who’s done it before, or I will find out the hard way.
