Hello all, once again I’ve stumbled back to this group after a long absence. I’m still developing my VTR250 race bike and this winter really committed some major brain power to it! I’ve rebuilt and modified the stock engine I’ve been running for a few years AND am converting it to EFI! I bought a 2010 throttle body set from OZ and build a NO2C Speeduino standalone ECU to run everything, got some VW Polo 1.4 turbo smart coils, GM IAT and water temperature sensors and a fuel pump assembly from an Indian Scout. Modified the fuel tank, made some adapters to mount aftermarket generic velocity stacks, made my own shortened throttle cable, made my own foam air filter and squeezed a wideband O2 sensor in my exhaust. I’m hoping someone can help me with a little snag: I am for an image of the wiring diagram for a 2009+ fuel injected VTR250. I have searched online to no avail. I am currently trying to sort out the wiring of the Intake Air Control Valve, A1/A2/B1/B2. Four wires come out of the IACV but I’m not 100% sure of the plug pin location/orientation. I know one coil is the middle two pins and the outer two are the second coil… I found this image of another wiring diagram that I suspect is the same but I can’t know what the plug orientation is. In the other picture on my bike you can see where I had to add an extended socket to my IACV because there’s no room to plug into it, it’s right against the bottom of my modified fuel tank. If at all possible I would love to get a picture of someone’s four wires going into the IACV and a picture of the wiring diagram showing the IACV. I grafted in the top of a ZZR (GPX)250 fuel tank so I could get a keyless gas cap, also lowered the overall height
Magnificent work thus far BTW and congrats on that Champship! I've also bumped across your thread on the Speeduino forums. With the stepper, the four coloured wires you have in the image red, green, black, blue are standard wire colours and arrangement for nema steppers. 4 wire steppers are actually frustratingly simple and the way that it's wired in your schematic is so that you can reverse the motor direction by flipping the plug so there's no wrong way. You should have your 1A/1B and 2A/2B easily identified back at the speeduino board/plug. From this page https://3ddistributed.com/duet-wifi/stepper-motor-wire-color-and-coil-pairs/ Black/Green is a motor coil Red/Blue is a motor coil Although the wiring colors can not be trusted the order of wires is usually as follows: Wiring Option 1 1A – green 1B – black 2A – blue 2B – red Wiring Option 2 A + black A – green B + red B – blue So looking at what you've got in that diagram, your first phase or motor coil is black/green (1A/1B) on the centre pair and the second phase is blue/red (2A/2B) on the outer pair. Easy to check for continuity at the motor plug between 1A <->1B and 2A <-> 2B with a multimeter, then just plug it in. If it rotates the wrong direction initially (I don't thin it will BTW), reverse 2 wires at either plug; the motor or ECU connector. Congrats on your championship and nice welding on the tank. Just my two cents, better to work on things that will lower your lap time rather than squeezing a tiny bit of power out. If you can make it lighter, or handle better for example.
