Hey guys, Im a new member here coz i recently bought myself my first bike (woot) which is a FZR250R 3LN which is sa-weeet i love the thing (will get a few pics up soon) but theres just a few things im having troubles with...

Firstly, this problem has occured only a few times especially going uphill. I grab the throttle and just go nowhere, its like the break is on or something its a bit of a worry. There just seems to be no power like its not in gear. So i ease off and then give it some more, shes sweet. Has this got something to do with float levels (im not extremely mechanical) your help would be appreciated!.

Secondly, My Tacho and Temp gauges dont work.. everything else is sweet and i dont really want to rip off the front fairing and dash and start playing with the electricals as everything else is fine. What do you think this is caused by.. bad connections??.. from what i can see there doesnt appear to be any bad wires.. any help?

Would it be worth just putting the bike into the repairs to get it all seen to. I doubt the carbies have been cleaned in ages and im not really up to fiddling with them yet.. If i did put it in for a service, how much do you think id be up for..

Thanks guys i know ive asked alot I just need some help hopefully i can contribute to the forum and help others.

I would look for a bad connection seeing the pair are not working, possibly the earth wire or the +12v power wire. There is a plug in the loom that feeds the tacho and temp gauge, and I presume it is close to them.
