Well either way the engine comes out and it's either going to be wrecked or rebuilt depending on what I find... So disappointed. thanks for the tips.... will see where this goes.

if the journal is damaged it can be ground undersize or can be metal sprayed and ground to original size.either will cost more than a 2nd hand crank.

Yeh... I'm considering options at the moment... wondering if I should just go out and buy the DR400 motard I've been eyeing off...

@kiffsta unfortunately not, I read "1600" as 6pm so missed the end of it. Spewing a bit now but such is life. Got quoted $900 for a replacement engine which frankly is a total joke.

So if @Grasshopper @Linkin @GreyImport have a bottom end lying around they could send me that is in good condition for a good price I'll seriously consider it.

More news to come, picked up a CB250 I'm going to Cafe in the meantime while I figure out the best strategy on the fizzer. May end up just parting it out... we'll see. Kinda got a backlog of home renovation projects given the amount of time I've spent tinkering so more tinkering may not be the right answer (happy life happy wife afterall).
