I have a question. Has anyone reached the point where they feel they have enough bikes and are content with them, not looking at every bike that is for sale and thinking "that's nice, I wonder if I can afford it?"

I can only afford it because all the bargains seem to be in QLD. Round here they're a bit hard to find and a lot of competition for them, otherwise I'd have gone broke ages ago.

Because when he wants another bike he just looks at wats under his work bench and makes one from scratch :D

I do keep looking, but nothing stands out and calls 'buy me'. :lolsign:

With the cold weather the last couple of weeks my arthritis has been giving me hell and my hands so sore that last week I could only ride to meet the riding group, not go anywhere with them for a ride. Some days it is hard to even hold a spanner yet alone do anything with it. I knew this was coming, but I hoped it would be a few years away. Waiting for warm days.

The new bikes in the showrooms are not different enough from what I already have to be enticing. I no longer wish to do 200Km/h and cannot bend to fit sports bikes, cruisers are even more painful with my legs out front and the only ones that I can comfortably fit on I already own. The rest are just too heavy for me to hold up (that is why I have not replaced the burnt ST1100).
I plan to keep riding as long as I can (riding keeps me 'alive') but it will have to be on bikes I can manage. I may have to 'thin the herd' (sell a few) a bit more as time goes on.

Someone outbit me. I curse them and thank them at the same time. Money first, bike second... maybe bills second, bikes third.

mate, do your last bid 17 seconds before the end and go high as you only pay the next increment.
