Hi All, I'm after one single carburettor for the ZXR I've been restoring for almost two years now. As it's been going on with it, every time I check something, it's basically F-ed. What I'm in need now is a replacement for the carburettor n.2 (pictures attached) which the previous owner kindly left a snapped bolt in it. Yes, I've tried to remove it, but for the love of my life I can't. I'd love to buy one from a fellow Kawasaki owner in VIC ideally. Cheers!
Being the drill bit needed so thin, it bends and jumps off, hitting the walls. It's not noticeable in the pictures but the screw didn't snap flat, it has an angle and the drill bit bends towards the wall of the orifice before it catches at all. I've tried to weld another bolt in it as well with same success....
Start with a drill that just fits in the hole and LIGHTLY make a centre mark, then use your smaller drill. A piece of metal tube that fits in the hole can also be used as a guide with drill inside it.
