    Sorted lighting in the garage so I can keep going after the sun goes down.

    New shoes... Michelin Pilot Street Radials. Front arrow says its on backwards, but the tread pattern looks to be in the correct direction. Goes from the inside out to keep the water away from the centre of the tyre in the wet.

    any chance you can measure the small springs which the zeal has located on top of the needles while you have them apart.

    So spring length, spring diameter and if possible the thickness of the spring wire and count the number of sprung turns

    That info should make it easier for the rest of us to track down the equivalent springs to try and retrofit our temperamental fizzers :D

    Fizzer factory had a decent enough 17t sprocket to put on, so I went for a little test ride. It feels a lot taller and very weird after coming off a fizzer. The engine is about the same. I ran it through all 6 gears, no horrible noises, and is running well after the carby clean. Although the return spring is a bit dodgy, it sits at about 5k RPM unless I keep the throttle shut. Will take a closer look once I get the carby kit in the mail.

    Thanks everyone. Taking it in to get the front tyre changed around tomorrow.

    I will have the carbs off again to put the litetek kit through it, reckon I will split 1&2 carb from 3&4 carb to investigate the return spring etc. Had to spit a FZR set to replace the T pipe for the fuel inlet before. Very handy that it doesn't alter the sync of the butterflies :thumb_ups:

    Also I need to flush the cooling system as its running whatever is in there... looked green enough but still probably old as the hills.

    Still got to fix the neutral light and speedo/tacho lights, as I want to know how fast/what revs I'm doing when the sun goes down :crazypilot:
