Just picked up my bike from Ignite Mechanical and Custom. Thanks Moo (aka Paddy the Irish fecker). I had Martyn make up some hangers for the cans as I have cracked the mounts on both pipes a few times and had to re-weld them. Very happy with the finish and for a reasonable price.
Tested the RC Servo on my NSR again and it seems to operate fine as best as I can tell. Now time to order a few bits and pieces (carb inlet rubbers, tank rubbers, air filters and anything else I can think of. Then just need to swap the MC18 wheel on (more tread) and its time for a shake down!
Got a day permit organised for the FZR400 and put the battery on to charge overnight. Hopefully will pass a rego inspection tomorrow!
haha, clearly you sat talking to him for way to long so haha. glad to hear he could help ya out! he's a top bloke.
I'll do my best to make it. We move out on the following Monday so there is a little bit of work to do over the weekend and I really don't want to break my bike before the long ride to wagga.
Fair call. I'll probably be taking it easy on the Fizzer for the first couple of weeks - don't wanna break what I just fixed!
Been riding the ZZ-R250 mostly these days as the old CB still needs major work. I'm still expecting a bit more grunt than I'm used to though. Will find out tomorrow morning, if the battery holds a charge... That's a fair hike!
@kiffsta - A bit of research has told me the battery from Nix might fit, as some ZZ-R250s also use the YTX9-BS or compatible models. The stock battery for the EX250H8 ('96/'97 model) seems to be a YTX7L-BS though, so will check which one I have when I get home.
