So! I found a rather elusive leak while I was playing around with the front end. The stanchion was fractionally loose on the base, meaning that very very slowly it would leak... I've played around and I think I fixed it o.o but will have to reassemble and see.

Again. This bike. Why. So much why.

Because it is old and the chances of it having been maintained correctly are close to zero. It does not have a personality and it is not trying to torment you :)

Haha oh I don't know about that, I swear machines have personalities some days.

But in this case it's almost definately a p.o. Caused set of problems

Haha if only it was the FZR! All these issues were with the ZXR! My fzr has never been this much of a pain haha.

But huge thanks @maelstrom and the rest of you guys, for giving all that advice - pulled it all apart and fixed it! This is the best the ZXR has ever felt.

I should have done this month's ago xD

Ok so my girlfriend was the one who gave me a kick in the arse. And got me to work on the R6 while we are waiting for the fork seals arrive for the cbr.

So I taught her as much as I could about cleaning carbs and have her the run down while she was working on them and cleaning them.
    image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg
She did an awesome job. I just had to tighten something's she was afraid of stripping. So plan for tomorrow is to fit the carbs and put fresh fuel in the Tank. And see if my problem is gone.

Yes mate it is. It's strong as all buggery as well. If you breath in you nose while drinking it burns.

Ride the Zxr from canberra to wagga on Wednesday with no problems. Ordered a new cam chain ( hopefully arrives before I have to ride to melbourne) and got some oil and will hopefully find an oil filter locally. Went for a ride around town today and my bike decided it wanted to take a nap while I was backing out of a parking space. There were quite a few people there to see as well.:lolsign:
