Hi all, so it's finally happened my girl had decided to get her bike licence and join us on 2 wheels. The problem is shes only 150cm tall. Besides a scooter is there any bike out there that she will fit on? When she sat on the hyo she could either reach the handle bars but not pedals or vice versa. She wants a sports bike but besides a 50cc pocket bike ( I know there not legal) I have no idea.
Maybe a grom ? You will need to know her inner leg measurements then google seat hights...some of the cruisers may be easier to handle and you can get lowering kits.....what about a spider or trike or maybe a sidecar ???
A V50 Monza, a very small bike and plenty of room to make it even lower. Unfortunately these bikes get butchered by 'brat' and 'cafe' modders.
The Hyo 250 is a 'big' bike ... the same frame etc is on the 650 I had a guy come to buy mine and he couldnt have both hands on the bars and the balls of both feet on the ground at once ... so I told him he cant buy it as thats a necessity, especially if your learning .... he bought a newer ninja and crashed within a few days I would be looking at something like a Yamaha YZF R15 (150cc)
My wife is 5' 1.5", 156cm tall and can sit flat footed on my FZR250, the seat height is almost 50mm lower than the GT250R And an XV250 Virago seat is 100mm lower than your Hyosung's seat
You could get a Lowering link kit for the Hyosung and give that to your girl, and then buy a FZR for yourself
Looking at the current crop of new learner bikes , most seat heights are around 77-80cm . Might pay to spend a Saturday morning visiting dealers and sitting on a few to gauge what feels right I used to work with a lady who was similar height, she ended up buying a Suzuki tu250x , but is now onto a Harley
The Suzuki TU250X that @kiffsta ^ posted is one of the bike's you can do your RiderSafe rider training on when you go for your L's permit and Advanced course for your P1's and R Date licence
Says here the Ninja 300 is low height http://www.motorcycle.com/top10/ten-bikes-for-short-people.html/3
