Well we packed the truck (Gold Coast Truck Rentals) who have come on board as a sponsor. Kieran and Michael have completed the drive to PI, they have a day of rest and we unpack tomorrow for the Island Classic! I'll be posting updates here when I can. http://teamtiger.com.au/?cat=5 We are all excited for this event. (not just Team Tiger but the whole Sporties contingent) Cheers Simon
Looks Like Simon is having a red hot go, the results website is very slow, check it out here : http://www.computime.com.au/meetings/index.aspx?MeetID=2014/ISCL/
Must be some issues or the track is slower. He holds the lap record in his class at 1:54:871 http://www.computime.com.au/LapRecords/LR_philisl_clas.pdf That is quite an achievement on the little 250. Must be pinned in the corners. Be great if you could watch it. All those great bikes at PI
Its windy! Which seems to be affecting the lap times a bit. I'll try and pick up the pace today. If I can get a tow down the straight from a 350 that may help Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
Heres the latest...... Position 8 , 16 , 17 are Team Tiger and 19 is our other member Mick ( http://2fiftycc.com/index.php?threads/new-race-bike-bit-of-a-build-up-thread.1783/)
Wow! Ist place for Simon in his class and they are competing against TZ350's (factory racing bikes). I am seriously impressed with that. That little 250 must be copping a flogging to do those times. 3rd and 4th in class for the other guys in the team. Simon, how does the 250 hold up against those TZs on the straight?
Have a look at some of the names in this race and the bikes ... would be nice to see live http://www.computime.com.au/meetings/2014/ISCL/ISCL14_R09_RES.HTML
The tz350s fly past everywhere that is not a corner. But my 250 is handling like a dream. If you check out the split time page it gives you each bikes speed through the speed trap. Thanks for cheering us on. Last race was a beauty. I set a new lap record and Kieran set a new best speed that we know of for the class of 190 through the speed trap. Awesome conditions for racing. I have been away all weekend camping, no internet access where we were so I had to wait until I got home to see how Team Tiger went, congrats guys great effort !!! I just read the blurb from Rapid Bikes and they confirm Simon was the New Era 250cc class winner, congrats mate.... that is an amazing effort !!! http://www.rapidbikes.com.au/post/2...lliams-declared-joint-individual-winners.aspx
Race 4 was a little bit hectic. Myself, Gary and Mojo were racing vfr400s in the p6 750 class, which meant our last races were back to back. 6 of the 7 guys in our pit missed the warm up lap and had to start from pit lane. Jeff Duke and I carved up a storm to make it through to 7th and 8th with me just managing to beat him. One of the most exciting races I have ever been a part of. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
