Hi all - Having raced 250 2 strokes in my youth I decided I would like to restore one to use as a daily run around but I seem to have developed a bit of an obsession and have bought both a Yamaha TZR250 and a Suzuki 250 X7. Going to be a bit of work to get them running and registered but its what I like to do in my spare time.

    Welcome Graeme

sounds like a couple of good projects :thumb_ups:

Feel free to have build threads on the bikes and fill them with plenty of photographic evidence of your work :D

    Hi kiffsta.
No I bought the TRZ from a guy on the Sydney Smokers FB page. It is fairly rough and has done a heap of kilometres but it is all there so I figure I can tidy it up. It came with a spare tank and set of fairing parts which like most of these things are showing their age.

sweet, interesting bike lift there :thumb_ups:

If you need any help or advice, have a chat with mboddy, I'm in awe of the amount of knowledge he has with 2 stroke Yamaha's . Apart from the panels \ tank, it certainly looks all there. Should be a fun project.

    Cheers

    Chris

Hi Chris - I have all the usual bike lift devices but the under motor jack does not work on an RZ and I can not remove the wheels on the hydraulic lift work bench. But the big plus is that its high enough that my dodgy back is not worsened.

    Hi Graeme
Welcome to the forum, some nice toys you have acquired. Look forward to seeing your X7 as I have one also along with a few spare parts, if needed. Like the way you strung the Beast up, different. :thumb_ups:
