    Thaks for the offer mate but I'm looking for a Keihin CVK 36, same as on my Triumph America.

    As a precaution double check that your carbs are seated properly into the inlet rubbers. Carbs are simple in design but can cause alot of headaches if so much as one thing is out lol

    That was one thing i noticed today... it looks like one of the rubbers doesnt even have a clamp.

    really? why? its not like a bike has a maf lol.
    Is pulling the airbox out easy? Do the fairings have to come off?

    Any vacuum leak will cause a problem. I haven't done it on an across. But I think you will need to take the airbox and carbs off to look into it further.

    maybe im takling about the wrong thing then. It was the rubbers that go over the intake of the carb into the airbox?

    Oh okay, do you have carb cleaner or start ya bastard? If so while the bike is running spray some around sealed parts of the carbs if your idle rises you have an air leak which can cause revving problems.

    its easy enough. You have to take both rear pannels off to get to the airbox bolts. I found it a bitch to put back in without pulling the carbs loose, connect them together then put it back in as 1 unit.

    Hi scottay
    The carbs control the air/fuel mixture,
    14.7 is the "perfect" air to fuel mixture aka stoichiometric. If you have any leaks anywhere around the carbs this will upset the air/fuel mixture and affect the running.
