Help! I need to get to my clutch, but i CANNOT remove the cranks cover. All of the bolts are out, but it just won't budge. Am i missing something? Does anyone have any tricks? There appear to be two tabs that Im assuming are used for prying it off, but even with all my weight pushing on it it still won't budge, and being alloy Im scared of cracking it.

Sticky bolt, try pouring some boiling water over it slowly to heat it up. It's probably rusted in or set in loctite or similar.

Nah, all bolts are free and clear. i assume there aren't any hidden bolts anywhere? Both of the left side crankcases were removed easily.

If you have a rubber hammer, would consider tapping the cover lightly and see if any movement occurs. Some times that is all that is required, a little assistances.

Yes tap either side and top and bottom, sometime previous owners use gasket goo (and other stuff) because the gasket is buggered, there are several dowels that hold it in place, the sideways taps usually help loosen them. go around the case and double check you haven't missed any bolts

So, turns out there are two screws within the ATU. I didnt even thing of taking this off, until AFTER I read the manual more closely, and AFTER i split the nicely polished case. Its off now though! But I have a new problem that I will post about..
