G'day 2fiftycc members. My name is Brodie, and I recently bought myself a 1991 Kawasaki ZXR-250C.
My mate has a running ZXR250a (1989) and another ZXR250a (1989) but the other one is for parts.

THE PROBLEM: My fairings are cracked, windsheild is cracked, needing new indicators and a tail light, & new seats(EDIT) Now, I want to get some A model parts for my C model. Will all these parts fit? A model stuff to C model? I sound like a noob, but I am sorry. :(

I just need some help. Because I don't really have that much money, since I'm on a budget. Thanks, would appreciate somebodys help. :)

:welcome: Haven't worked on ZXRs myself but there are plenty of people here who can tell you which parts are interchangeable and which ones are not. Photos of the bike as it is now will probably help a lot! :)

I'm sure someone who knows a bit more will chime in. But I'm pretty sure none of those items are interchangeable. Although they look very similar a lot of parts are different

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but none of those parts are compatible between models except the indicators

Welcome mate... as the lads have said the parts you are looking for are not interchangeable but i know @kiffsta will be able to help you out in that department... But there are some parts that can be swapped over... Also Honda did the same thing with the MC19 CBR-R and the MC22 CBR-RR they run the same engine but with slight modification to tweak more power out of the bike and big changes to the appearance.. So a lot of MC19 owners feel the same pain..

Cheers mate. Mine is still fine but looking for something in better condition or taking a wire brush to it and spraying it.

do you want an aftermarket one? i have a mirror finished DIC exhaust that was altered to fit the ZXR... they produce an amazing note... i have one on my cibby and we are looking at sourcing one for @kiffsta cibby.. the internals rattle when its off the bike but you cannot hear them when the engine is running... well i couldnt... #4 post down you will see how i polished it... http://2fiftycc.com/index.php?threads/official-kit-build-thread-picture-heavy.2180/ that is if @kiffsta doesn't want it... i also have the complete headers and un-restricted can off the track bike but it has a little rust where the can was welded back together... but now i have access to argon i can get rid of the rust and weld it again...

Yeah I meant headers. Still learning what everything is called. Can I just wire brush them and spray some rust shield or something on them?

you can get flame proof paint... wire brushing is fine... then grease and wax remover...... the black paint normally is self priming..
