GSX250 cutting out at high speeds.

    As the title says my bike currently cuts out when doing 80-100 KMH non stop.
    I've checked the fuel line and the fuel filter so far all good, any ideas?

    What it actually does is loose all response from the throttle and the engine cuts out, I can get it to start again if I use the choke.

    sounds to me like you are emptying the carbs float bowls faster then they are filling up, Try riding with the fuel cap open, the tank breather may be blocked and it could be creating a vacuum that acts against the one that lets the fuel tap open. Alternatively the Fuel tap could be clogged. My advice would be to start at the tank and work your way down

    I usually get a bit of wipper snipper line and run it thru you will feel any blockage and should be able to see it come out the bottom

    I cleaned the carbs out and everything else from the tank down and adjusted the pilot screws , but now the problem is worse than before.
    The only thing that I noticed was that the pilot screws were heavily out of sync with each other.

    Jasper, how long has the bike been doing this? Did it start to come on gradually or was it sudden?

    Put the pilot screws back to what they were and see what affect that has on the problem?

    It appeared the second or third time I rode it, so yes I would say gradually .

    Sounds like lack of fuel getting to carbs. If you can, take the fuel bowls off the carbs and connect to the tank and watch how much fuel comes out of the needle/seats. It should be a running flow.

    Murdo, would this happen in all gears? e.g. as the engine revs it gets starved of fuel?

    Jasper, is it happening in all gears or just in top? if it's all gears, Murdo is probably right.

    Would happen in all gears, but would be more noticeable in the higher gears as the engine would take longer to rev out and more fuel used.

    It's just happening 4-6 gear, I can rev it pretty hard in the lower gear with no issues.
    It's just with any kind of incline it affects all gears.

    A dent wont matter so long as they don't leak. I still think your problem is fuel not getting into the bowls quick enough to replace what the engine is using. Must be a restriction somewhere.
