hey got the pm, been searching through the book for a paint code, but it seems to be in japanese, unless it's "00KM" -- that seems to occur wherever there's a black panel nearby
i'll try and translate it on a website or something and get back to you

OKEE, Good find with the part numbers. I have downloaded those parts list files from that site and put them on our server for our members to download for themselves

http://attachments.FZR250.com/FZR250/3H ... umbers.pdf 3.7MB

http://attachments.FZR250.com/FZR250/3L ... umbers.pdf 21.5MB

The 3LN file does list parts for all 3LN models despite saying 3LN6

Rang yamaha today and got a few quotes for my 90 3ln.

Oil filter (4X7-13440-90):
Genuine = $22
HF-145 = $12
KN- 145 = $15.40 + postage (rocket industries).

Air filter (3LN-14451=00):
Genuine = $95

Fuel pump was about $330, I will get the correct info when I go in.

Thermostat (aftermarket substitute) - Tridon TT239-180

You can buy them for $18 at supercheap auto. Needs a little bit of modding to fit (nothing major). I can confirm it fits and works well and has the same opening temperature. Sure beats $80 + 2 weeks delay at the dealers.

Just went down to a Yamaha dealership to grab an oil filter. They say the 3LN 3 filter has been superseded, so replace

Valve cover Gasket
1HX 11193 00 00
1HX-11193-00-00
Priced at $78.95 from Frankston Yamaha, and around $50 AUD inc shipping from America (Boats.net).

I'm currently weighing up the price difference and time I'd have to wait in shipping- Boats would order from japan, then ship to America, then ship to Australia

I went to Yamaha this morning to get a filter for my mates 3ln3 and the supersession is actually 3fv-13440-10. 5gh-13440-20 is actually the shorter filter used on most of the larger bikes.
