This is quite a short race report as I came off again. Feel quite silly really as I now have a bike that I think is pretty well prepared. New tyres, suspension refresh, etc..... Arrived Saturday morning and unloaded everything, sharing a pit bay with Macca, he was already there having left at 4am from Brisbane. Wasnt really that nervous, more like I couldnt wait to get back on the track. Passed all the checks and then it was qualifying. Q1in F4 went ok down around 1.37s which I was happy with and really got more comfortable as the morning went on. Missed Q2 in the 250/125 class due to a baree wire end touching the frame and blowing fuses but sorted that wjthout to much of a drama. Then it was down to race 1 after lunch. Lined up last on the grid but really just wanted to finish and have fun. 1st lap was a 1.40 then got better until doing a PB of 1.35 on lap 5......all going well until.......... Looks funny now but really and I mean really cheesed off at the time. But had a great weekend, many thanks to everyone out there, especially Simon, Peter, Ray, Glenn, Brenden , Tom and Macca ( who is looking quicker every race) all had bits of advice that I will take on board. Cant wait until the next one.
Oh and Ive watched that clip about 378 times now and can only think that Im not used to my new qtr turn throttle. Might got back to the stock one. Briz.
Doing well just patience and small steps u not far off and I jinx myself saying hey it racing I prob crash tomorrow and we'll the rest is history Main thing get back on and have fun
well no breaks this time so i will leave the cat of nine tails in the cupboard. thought of taking up flagellation.lol.
If there is one thing that makes crashing hurt less it's having awesome footage of said crash! The main thing is you are not damaged, and it's a bonus that the bike is not in the worlds worst shape after such a performance. November seems so far away!
