Hey guys I'm currently rebuild my engine and have pretty much finished everything but finding a problem when installing the cams.

I've lined the T Mark to the notch in the bottom end but when I go to install my cams they sit 2mm out from being completely aligned. In the images you will see. I rotated the engine like this and the valves did not touch on the piston. Iv tried both positions described in the workshop manual but still end up in the same spot. Maybe this is normal but doesn't feel right.

Appears to be out by 1 tooth. Adjust whichever camshaft is easier to remove to compensate.

Yeah iv tried adjusting both cams but it just won't line up. It seems to be out by half a tooth if that's possible?
