It's risky's son here. The silly old fart fell down his front steps this arvo, He's torn his quadricep from his knee cap (can't extend his leg at the knee at all) and looks like having surgery tomorrow. This is what he gets for buying too many bikes and not giving grasshopper a chance, I'll have to pick up his latest ebay acquisition for him. It's only a short set of steps at the front as well. He's just missed a step and thinks he hit the brick balustrade with his leg as he fell. Give the ole' grumble guts plenty of **** , It's what he would do. He'll be insufferable like the time he dropped the jacked up falcon on himself, we had only been warning him that would happen someday for 30 years or so but he wouldn't listen.
And tell him to bid on these from now on instead of bikes http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Dmi-...555631?hash=item35fdeed9af:g:DB8AAOSw5dNWs83U
I will second @Grasshopper's message......think this maybe a long road back. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.
I'll pass all your wishes on and I think I might print out GreyImport's message and the ebay auction. I'm pretty sure he already has one though, I know there is a wheel chair up in the shed he had for his mother in case she needed it. I suspect he'll need to use the pedal exerciser he had for her as well. http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_...+exerciser.TRS0&_nkw=pedal+exerciser&_sacat=0
That is pricey, they are only $95 at a local shop. Get well soon John, there are still a lot of bikes to ride yet.
Ouch...is the brick balustrade okay? Just kidding. hopefully he'll mend quickly and be back to his normal self soon. Take it easy risky.
I thought the same ..... On a serious note ... I wonder how those gloves would be on long rides under the leather gloves .... I was pretty good on the Glenn Innes weekend except for my hands and fingers giving me hell
Just received a call from Risky, he has well and truly done a number on himself. He could be in hospital for another month or so and has been told to stay off his leg for at least 3 months while he heals and will have to wear a brace for quite some time. He sounded like he is in a fair amount of pain. I have suggested his son goes and buys him an Ipad with a simcard so he can get on-line and have something to do, Risky thought that was a great idea as that way he could buy some more bikes. I let him know that we are all thinking of him and wish him a speedy recovery.
evenning folks, am trying to work out a laptop i bought today.am in a rehab hospital but no phizio on the leg for 3 weeks then 6 weeks phizio.leg is in a brace removed only for showers and resricted movement on a frame.
Good to hear from you mate. The strike by nurses has been put on hold......we gather that you are behaving yourself..........so far. Restricted movement on a frame ???? assume riding a bike is still some distance away, take it easy and get better soon.
