Just wondering if anyone knows if a GSX750 rear brake pedal is a straight swap onto the GSX250F ACROSS... Mine has a broken pedal and it appears they are rather difficult to acquire.... I do have another pedal but it has been bent and a stub bolted to it to push on... it just looks average...
It does look similar to this one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/suzuki-g...277860?hash=item25cafb9f24:g:1C8AAOSwOyJX2BkG On the back there's a number- 27A-2
Hmmm the number on the back of the spare one I have is 27A-1 but it is stamped as the pedal isn't hollowed out in the rear... hmm for $40 it might just be worth taking the risk...lol
There would have to be 101 Across's at the wreckers .... http://www.findapart.com.au/motorcycle_parts http://www.cmsnl.com/products/pedal-brake_4311005c03/
Maybe but this seems to be a fairly common issue.. as the only things that hit on the right side are... Fairing,, exhaust and brake pedal... I have just checked the one on the bike... and it is stamped 27A-3 All the wreckers I talked to around my local area.. (about 12 so far) none have one that isn't modified by bolting on a temp fix... and they want $60 for them... Hmm Megazip says the ACROSS part number is only used on the ACROSS where the GSX750 part number is also on GSX600
Having reviewed my existing pedals... I am 100% sure the GSX750 isn't going to work.. it has a much larger bend radius. However I might have another old pedal from something else here that could have the end cut off and neatly welded onto my existing one... cleaned up and polished... hmm Must go searching...
He doesn't have one, I did get the rough modified one from him yesterday for $20 which would most likely do for RWC..... maybe. I think he used the good one from that bike on the other one he has for sale for $1500 unregistered. I am more inclined to get a price to have this TIG welded to my existing pedal and I can then polish it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I just had a good look at that bike and I am pretty sure I have the brake pedal from it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I just checked with a guy who I have used for machining before (DnA Cycles)... around $30 to weld the foot piece to the pedal... might be my best option.. But I will send a txt of in the morning and see what he can do.
By the time I post pack it up... and get it back.. the $30 to have it done here is about the same... and I need to talk to him about a new billet top yoke for the SRX anyway... But I appreciate the Offer Murdo.
Great guy... sent a txt... $35 delivered... paid and in the post today with a tracking number.. so very highly recommended... Thanks @sharky Looks like this thread is done and dusted
Great . Im heading out there next week to pick up a clutch perch so I will take some photos of what he has out there, & check the FZR stocks for the other 75% of members
