Would someone please be kind enough to post up some pictures of their 3LN's left and right hand middle fairing brackets. (the ones in the centre of the frame) Pictures with and without the fairing would be awesome. The reason I'm asking is that my project didn't come with them and I want to fabricate them myself, so a sneak peak into what they're supposed to look like would take out a lot of the guess work. I have been after one of these mounts for a while, they are deleted by yamaha now <!-- s:-? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_Eyecrazy.gif" alt=":-?" title="Eye Crazy" /><!-- s:-? --> The one on the left as you sit on the bike holds the choke lever so always seems to be there...... Chris
I am also short of the LH middle fairing bracket! Heres a few pics of the bits in the box that came with the bike. Maybe this will help you. I'm looking for fairings as well. Cheers Jim
Is that part in picture 1 not the LH middle fairing mount????? The bit wit the captive nut going to the fairing, the bit with the hole going against the frame. The other 2 mounts in pic 4 are the mounts that come forward from the engine to the fairing. I don't think so. Surely it would have a locating lug that located in the small hole in the frame to prevent the bracket from turning? Not sure where this fits, definitely a fairing bracket. Jim
Just mount your fairing without those two brackets, create a mock up from a thick paper carton and fabricate your bracket. there's not much to them, except for the left one which is holding the choke, but even that is not overly difficult. As long as they function as required ....
