I am going to let this picture do the talking.. Would anyone have the part/s I need? Pretty please Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wonder if you could buy some fine mesh and make your own little filter bit to wrap around the reserve inlet?
Tap looks very similar to a Suzuki trail bike type tap. Suggest you look at the bolt spacing and check with other bikes/wreckers to confirm. Plenty of reproduction taps cheap on fleabay.
Those filters should just pull out ...sometimes they just fall out and float about in the tank.... I would remove the short one (as obviously its being counter productive and leaving bits of filter in the system) and if u cant get a replacement then just have none .... there should be an inline filter after the tap anyway. I would also pull the tap apart and clean it up and replace any o rings inside These would have to be pretty universal also .... http://litetek.co/Fuel_Tank_O-Rings_Suzuki.html For those playing at home .... the long filter with the solid tube gives you your 'reserve' level http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Honda-Ya...246280?hash=item4625676ec8:g:xvQAAOSwxCxT6QgT
Surely a filter replacement for something like that would be an off the shelf item at a bike shop? Or at least one that could be interchanged?
Just looking at the picture, it looks almost exactly the same as the Yamaha one for the Fizzers, except that the yammy one has two outlets instead a fuel tap on it. I'd wager it's a standard part that fits many bikes of that era.
Yeh that's what I was thinking... giving a bike shop a ring to ask something like that isn't necessarily always a dead end...
thanks guys. we live in a place where pretty much everything has to be ordered and posted anyway. the bike shops have very litttle in stock. hard to even get an inline filter...
