Hello Gang....just found this forum & desperately need some HELP ! My 1983 Honda CT250S has always been a bit sketchy on its starter motor (no kicker !) It finally gave up after much crunching....on further investigation, the flywheel & clutch sprag mech have badly worn teeth....I’ve managed to find a replacement flywheel...but drawing on a blank with the sprag clutch mech. Can ANYONE advise on a parts source or alternative part ? Cheers in anticipation. Yes I know o can convert the engine to kicker, but I’d rather keep it original.
Hi Dave. Via the link below , look's like your model was imported into OZ. If it's correct , i'd ring Honda and see if they can help. If Honda say's there N.L.A , get the part number's from them or better ask them for a complete part's fiche. Been snooping through my old 250cc road test magazines and have found that Honda Australia did import a model called a CL 250 that look's like your model bike. The CL 250 has electric start / 6 speed gear box, so that's a good start. I can scan the pages of the road test if you'd like. The road test and photo's are dated May 1982.
