Hi, currently servicing my carbs, had them torn down for ultrasonic cleaning and now reassembling i notice theres 2 emulsion tubes with 6 holes and 2 with 12 holes and of course i dont know where they go.. I assume its the 12 hole tubes on the middle cylinders and the 6 hole tubes on the outer cylinders?

    Thank you Simon.
I got them back together and on the bike and it seems to be running better now - however now it's like there is a slight delay from when I turn the throttle till the revs actually go up.. could this be due to poor synchronisation (didn't have access to the carb sync gauges yesterday) or is an air leak on the intake boots more likely

edit: I did not do the throttle shaft seals while i had it apart, could that be a potential cause for the weird throttle response... as in could bad throttle shaft seals introduce a vacuum leak?

I took my GJ72A carbs apart yesterday and noticed the emulsion tubes for cylinders 1 & 2 had 6 holes, and the emulsions tubes for cylinders 3 & 4 had 12 holes.

I thought I would have to ask a question on here to check whether this was correct, but of course, this thread already provides the answer! :D

    Just to add my findings...

The parts diagram shows that for each carb, both items #25 and #26 are needed:
    tube diagram.jpg

The parts list then shows that item #25 (09494-00427) is for LH / RH, and item #26 (09494-00581) for ML / MR:

    tube part no..jpg

The way I read those codes is:
LH / RH = far left and far right, or cylinders 1 & 4
    ML / MR = 'Middle Left / Middle Right', or cylinders 3 & 4

Which is just as Simon said.

Therefore I now realise that the way the tubes in my bike had last been put back, was wrong.

So in combination with the photo posted by my67xr above showing which tube part no. has which number of holes (and thanks to the man in Japan whoever originally posted it), I will now happily put the tubes back in their correct position.

    Cheers all!
