After the passing of our friend, club member and all round nice bloke Peter Coote a couple of years ago his widow has asked me to list his 1981 GSX250 Frame No GJ51Bxxxxxx for sale. I wanted forum members to have the opportunity first before going to evilbay.
Pete bought this for his daughter to ride but she lost interest (having babies does that) and has sat in his shed for the last three years.
It looks to be complete except for the right side cover. Tyres are new front and 90% rear, chain and sprockets look new, paint on tank and tail piece is ordinary and left sidecover has been rattle can blacked. Fork seals are good, seat ok and it only shows 4,500Km on the speedo. Engine looks oil tight but is unknown and carbs will need to be cleaned. Aftermarket mufflers have been fitted to original head pipes. It has 'Ace' bars and I remember Pete riding it not long before his death. She is asking $600.00 for it.

will not be chopped which was one reason for purchase, another reason was it belonged to a deceased vjmc member.third reason was its low mileage and overall condition. being on the national vjmc committee i am helping out a members family.

Bike now gone to live with new owner. Put new battery in, drained carbs and with fresh fuel fired up. Needs carbs cleaning properly and some bits tidied up, but runs quiet and blows no smoke.

have purchased handlebars and footpegs elsewhere. obviously grey is upset when i made an enquiry. would hate to see a similar bike bratted and parts thrown away.
