Howdy I am looking for recommendations on fairing fasteners, I have bought some cheap chinesium ones off eBay and the threads stripped with just a tiny amount of force while doing the bolt up. I am after recommendations for quality fairing clips. Kiff
they are a version of something called a speedclip (or so I thought - see below) used for car panel beating repairs, Repco, supercheap also, may have some on the four sided display they have in stores with plastic connectors, car trim retainers, grommets. connectors etc Otherwise a trade supplier of panel beating paint etc will have them - check with these guys http://www.autolac.com.au/ If they don't have it listed they do have a large catalogue of connectors available from another company called carklips http://www.carklips.com.au/ - they call them u-nuts on the first page of their site peace out Glenn
Any Automotive paint shop will keep them, they usually have assortment's you can choose the one's you need, M5 or M6 etc Wurth make an excellent kit I know Ford Territory use M5 speed clips to hold the mudflap's on, i replaced mine a while ago This is my speed nut kit, in the second pic use the style on the left they last a lot longer If you buy the china kit's try to get them with the spot welded nut on the back
I used some I had lying around from prior car stereo? installations. I think you can get them with car speakers etc, because you need them to tighten screws into. Try supercrap or JCAR or similar perhaps.
Champion Fasteners make some really good strong ones, but they only come in packs of two from Supercheap - Masters might have them in bigger kits. Otherwise go to their website and look up the master kits and ask Supercheap to order them?
