I am looking to purchase a new fuel pump for my 1986 FZR250(2KR) and notice that on the aftermarket pump there is a nipple on the base of the pump whereas the OEM one doesn't have one. Both are described as part # 3LN-13907-00. It would be appreciated if someone could let me know what the nipple is for and if having one or not makes any difference. aftermarket 3ln3907.JPG oem 3ln13907.jpg

It is just and air breather/drain and does not make any difference.
Fit the pump with it pointing down.

Ditto, the nipple doesn't connect to anything, it's just a casing drain.
    I think the inlet/outlet are 8mm?

I ordered the one shown. If it does come in with the 10mm outlet can the 8mm fuel line be coaxed on - maybe using a bit of heat?
