Help GSX cam timing mysteries...

    G'day all, how does one set the cam timing when your model bike has one of these (see pics) and not a regular ATU like the all the manuals show? The main issue is there is no timing mark inside the case cover to line up any of the marks on the "reluctor"- (awesome word, wonder what it means...) Any ideas? Regards, Dingo.

    Get a top dead center - approx will do - and have a look at the marks on the ignition rotor.
    From memory, one of the TDC marks will line up with the center of one of the fixed triggers.

    No arrow on the case, the ignition backplate is fixed so the triggers can be used as reference points.

    Yes. It looks similar to the arrangement on my GSXR engines. The line near the T is top dead centre.
    You line it up with metal pole on one of the reluctors.
