    G'day fellas,
My name is Shaun and I recently bought my first ZXR250 A model from Chris and I can't wait to start working on it. I already have the motor out for a bit of a clean and to replace the head-gasket, thermostat and a general clean of the engine and frame. The carbs will also be coming off for a thorough clean-up. The front brakes will be getting rebuilt and painted, chain will be getting replaced, fairing repaired, and probably a million other things that will happen as the build progresses.
Love the forum and have learnt a few things from it already. I plan on doing a build thread on the bike once I get a few more tools in the shed. It's going to be a great project and I'll keep you all in the loop in regard to how it's going.
Here's a couple of pics from the day I brought her home :) (28/6/13)

I really like the colour scheme on that bike ...... are u going to keep it like that? ....the paintwork looks in good nick from the photos.

Sounds like u have made a good start already..... definately start a thread to show off your progress :thumb_ups:

    Hi GreyImport,
I do plan on keeping the current colour scheme(love it) but the little piece on the fairing where the indicator goes will have to be repaired and repainted. Nothing that can't be fixed. Many fun times ahead :thumb_ups:

    Hi Shaun
Obviously the tie down job on the trailer worked OK. Think you're going to end up with a fine looking machine.
Good to hear that you intend keeping us up to date with your resto. :thumb_ups:
Welcome to the forum and good luck with it.

    Hi Phil,
Haha, yeah the tie-downs did the trick. Didn't move an inch(thank God) and I spent most of the drive home looking backwards :) I have already started checking a few things on the bike which look to be in good nick but I'll go into detail in the build thread that I'm about to start.
