    G'day Team

Probably a basic question yet again.
Was wondering how I would go about adjusting the rear suspension on my ZR250 (1994).
The person I bought it off was at least 30kg lighter than me and I get the feeling that when I sit on the bike it feels a little "too" comfortable and swoops down a little "too" low.

Was wondering if I needed to take it in to a shop to stiffen the rear suspension or if I could easily do it myself? Do I need a special tool? Or could I use a screw driver and a hammer to slowly and calmly bash away at what looks like an extremely large washer with teeth on the suspension itself? (Excuse the complete newbieness here but I have no idea what its called or what im looking at or what precautions I need to take when dealing with it).

    Thanks again

Mr Grey has given the correct details, one thing to check is your tool kit if the bike still has one??? Some manufacturers actually included the C spanner in the kit.....worth a check. Good luck mate.

Great thanks guys, Front suspensions seems very soft as well, clearly the bike was set up for a much lighter rider. Will most likely take it in to the shop which is only 150metres down the road and ask them if they can adjust it quickly for a couple of bucks. If its gonna cost me 3 arms then ill sort it out myself.

ZXR manual quoted thanks to @GreyImport seems very straightforward, and im sorry but have no clue what USD forks are.

@Phil the bike did not come with a tool kit unfortunately =( the previous owner probably had no clue what a tool kit was on a bike.
Have picked up some stuff from info on one of my previous threads and have made myself a mini tool kit but I dont have the C-spanner.

Not a problem, just thought I'd mention it. Many have no idea what the C spanner was for.......hence if you look at the rear shock adjuster......most of the time there isn't a mark on them apart from grim.

The ZXR USDs have 3 points of adjustment so the Balius may still have some also ..... have a look in the manual and you will see where they are and what they do.
