mths is distributor for ceracote is a few streets away from me , you have to do a $2500 course to become an approved applicator before they will sell you ceracote

a few shops in Brisbane have opened to specialise in ceracoting and have gone bust, great product but very expensive and customers generally won’t pay a decent amount to get it done. I looked into duracite as well, but it is not as good as ceracote. I know@maelstrom has used it and the finish is amazing

I actually test rode this one back when it was for sale by the previous owner about 6-7 months ago. It's not an import, has broken thermostat, cracked headlight lens and big dent in the tank (hail damage apparently! that's a new one!) the muffler is one of those ebay reverse cone megaphone type which doesn't really suit it. The owner wouldn't negotiate on price so I passed and ended up getting my one for practically nothing.

I have sent an enquirer on the VT250F so will see what comes back from the seller.
I quite like them but sounds like it needs a lot of work lol

Response back is he won’t move much on price. Anything specific to watch out for on them? I thought the rear cylinder was the problem child. Wonder why the front is down on compression.

I was buying Cerakote from the US but the shipping is too expensive and a ridiculous amount of bureaucratic nonsense to get it through customs here. I need to get my alternator cover done for the R4 project but I will just send it to some lads in Texas to do for me. Still be cheaper than the alternative.

Really? I would have thought the "lifetime warranty" would have alarms and sirens going off everywhere! It's a running joke in marketing circles. I think the Simpsons even threw the line into one of their shows as a joke!

Might want to read the 'fine print' before handing over any cash.

I think the reason they cheap is probably because they are struggling a bit for sales volume. Note these are pre orders for a batch delivery. All jokes aside, still not a bad deal for what you get. The Braap is based on a local team cherry picking parts out of China and assembling them locally. I suspect this model is just a straight import. I have been at presentations by the founder. If nothing else, he passionate about selling a good product and has grown from a base of nothing.
