A decent service with oil change and filter is 1.5 - 2 hours , plus fluids, plugs etc, I'd expect $250 - $300 would be the norm.
I'm happy to replace oil, fluids, filters and plugs but have never "tuned" a carby etc. would love to learn how to do this myself but in the mean time just wondering the cost associated with the "tune" itself ignorning the other parts.
Ohh and while its on my mind, any oil suggestions? Last time I changed the oil (only time I have done it on my bike), I used she'll helix 15-40w car oil as I didn't realise there was a difference and I had it for my car. After reading a post by you this evening I will now drop the oil out ASAP as swap for motorcycle oil.

I used to use the Motul 5100, I changed oil and filter every 3000klm. I found that around 3000klm it just lost it's stuff, gear changes weren't as smooth, clutch felt different and just other things I noticed that started feeling/sounding different. I now have Yamalube fully synthetic 10/40 and have just gone over 3000klm and it seems to be going alright still. Also gear changes felt smoother than ever and engine noise was the quietest I've ever heard it too. It is slowly starting to degrade but still feeling/sounding better than the Motul did at this stage. $80 for 4L though I think.
yea I cant comment on the value of the Motul as Ive got another 2995 klms to go It was just one of the most recommended around the traps and I will probably try another type next time just to compare
