Just acquired a 1989 GSXR250RK - GJ73A. Seems to be all in original condition except I'm told it has a GSXR750 rear shock absorber fitted. As a result the battery tray has been lifted, to allow clearance from the offset reservoir, which is an integral part at the top of the shock. I would like to replace with the OEM fitment (if obtainable) or a good quality after market alternative that would allow the battery tray to be mounted in its original position. Is there anybody out there who might own the same model, that could help with the exact eye to eye length of the standard shock and also the hole to hole centre measurement of the dog bone height adjuster rods that run along each side side of the shock? Also would like to find a service manual for the same. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
This is what we have in the manual department ... will require Premium Membership for access https://www.2fiftycc.com/index.php?resources/categories/gsxr250.35/ https://www.2fiftycc.com/index.php?account/upgrades a couple of members have a GSXR so hopefully can supply your measurements photos of your bike are always welcome
