Anyone a hardcore gamer??
Or maybe play a game now and then..

I'm going to get Moto GP 2 installed back on to my computer and open up a server so we can all race online once in a while.. its heaps fun!! You do crazy things.. .ask Grendal who clipped me of my bike so many times!!!

We should find out who has copies of this game and then we can set a date and time and RACE!!!

Hey Grendal, it was Moto GP 2 we were playing right.. Moto GP 2 for PC aye?

Its the only time I can do a wheelie... in game!

I've been trying to get the hang of this game, but have yet to do so. So, with that being said, you'll never come in last with me playing.

Count me in.

you may want to forego posting the link - could get the site into trouble. If people are interested I am sure they could find it (or pm and ask you where you found yours - Electronics Boutique, right?)

haha yeah true... I see where ur comin from, but I doubt links can really be illegal? I mean it is the sites themselves.

What about if I said pirate bay torrents have some really good stuff? is that illegal?

Posting links can be illegal if they are a direct link to the material. There was a recent case where a guy in Australia was actually sued because he operated a site that pointed users to specific mp3 downloads that were hosted on other sites. While he did get off in the end, I am sure Dean (as the actual owner of the site) would not want to put up with that. And the result may not be the same.

I am not sure of the legalities of pointing towards a general site or tips on how to find the software / files.

There is also law in Australia (which extends slander/libel laws) that anything that is posted on a controlled public forum (like this one where we require membership to post) can be used against the owner of the site if the owner is aware of the post and does nothing about it. So if I were to say 'store y sucks' without any justification for my opinion then if store y saw this and took offense to this they could, again, go after Dean and presumably me (as another admin). If I said 'store y sucks because they had terrible service. I went in there, waited for 30 minutes without being served, then left' then that is acceptable because there is some fact behind the statement.

This whole issue regarding the liability of forum owners/admins has been increasing in recent times within Australia. This is one of the reasons netrider is so closely moderated and controlled, and why the oroadsports site requires license numbers. While this forum is a bit different than netrider and oroadsports in the fact that it is not a company, still better to be safe than sorry i my opinion.

I really hate how litigous society has become...

Aye true that Boz.

The game is cheap anyhows I think $20 from your local PC since MotoGP 2 is quite old now.. Its worth the buy. So go get yourself a copy! and we will play!

i already have it. Much easier when playing with a joystick / game pad rather than a keyboard I discovered! But i no longer have broadband - I had a choice of broadband internet or foxtel tv (via optus) and went for cable tv as I like football (grid-iron that is) and it is the only way I can cheer for Miami. The unfortunate part is that Miami hasn't given me much to cheer about in recent years, but I have been a supporter since mid 80's and I am not going to change now...
